cPanel New Pricing Structure
My name is Mario Cano and I am the chief executive officer at Fusion Arc Hosting. I wanted to give everyone an update and notice of what is going on with cPanel and there new pricing structure. I highly recommend all of our clients read this as this will cause a change in pricing for most of our clients.
What is cPanel?
cPanel is the company that builds cPanel & WHM. cPanel & WHM is an online Linux-based web hosting control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a web site to the website owner or the "end user". In this case this would be you our clients. All of our current shared hosting, web hosting, reseller hosting, and if selected VPS servers run this as there control panel.
What is going on?
Unfortunately, recently cPanel released a new pricing structure that will affect all cPanel installations. Current cPanel prices are expected to also rise. At this time we do not know how much the new prices will be however we are discussing with cPanel and other partners to find out how we can make this as minimal price increase as possible.
Is Fusion Arc Hosting going to increase my prices?
The goal of Fusion Arc Hosting is to provide top quality web hosting at very affordable pricing. The only way we can do this is by minimizing the amount of money we take in per client and charge enough to pay for the 3rd party software like cPanel while gaining a very little more to profit from hence we cannot absorb the cost as it will result in too much negative. Unfortunately, in order to stay within our goal and still stay profitable to continue to grow and provide even better services including new future development goals like 24/7 phone support and sales and free railgun & cloudflare included in each plan we will need to also adapt and increase current hosting package prices. This includes, but is not limited to, the following plans and services, web hosting, reseller hosting, email hosting, cPanel cloud VPS servers, and cPanel cloud Dedicated servers.
Is there anything Fusion Arc Hosting can do to prevent cPanel from increasing the prices?
Fusion Arc Hosting is doing everything in our power to try to keep the prices the same and if they change we will try to keep the price increases minimal. However, as we do not own or operate the cPanel & WHM development team and sales team, we are not able to prevent this from happening. We are working with other hosting providers and partners to find what can be done and are working to fight to keep the same rates.
Will this change my prices if I already have plans with Fusion Arc Hosting?
Currently it is looking like cPanel will be changing the prices even on the current active cPanel installations. As a result yes, this may also cause us to adjust prices for our current clients. However, we would like to make it clear that Fusion Arc Hosting is not the cause of the price increase and if it was up to us we would keep the prices the same for existing users and future users.
Is it best to change to a new provider?
We would hate to see anyone go as a result from this as this is something we are not causing. However, it is expected that some clients may leave as a result from this. As a result, no changing providers will not save you from these new fees. The new cPanel pricing structure is happening globally and is causing all hosting companies that use cPanel to adjust their prices to a higher cost.
