What is semi-dedicated hosting?
It is managed cPanel hosting with much larger account-level CloudLinux resource limits than typical entry-level shared hosting. You get more CPU, RAM, I/O, IOPS and concurrency while Fusion Arc Hosting continues to manage the underlying server.
Can semi-dedicated replace my VPS?
Often, yes, when the VPS is mainly hosting websites and you do not need root access, Docker, custom kernel or OS-level changes, or unusual server-wide services. It is not a 1:1 VPS replacement. You are exchanging low-level server control for a managed cPanel/LiteSpeed environment with built-in security, isolation and backups.
I have a 16-vCPU / 32-GB VPS. Do I need the same CPU and RAM here?
Not necessarily. Raw VPS allocations should not be compared 1:1 with a managed hosting account. The useful comparison is your measured website workload: peak CPU and memory use, monthly transfer, disk usage, concurrency, database activity and whether the applications require root-level services. An oversized VPS can contain a lot of capacity you never actually use.
Which plan makes sense if I use about 800–850 GB of bandwidth each month?
PowerEdge includes 850 GB, so usage near that range leaves almost no transfer cushion. ProEdge includes 1,200 GB and is the more practical starting point for an account already moving roughly 800–850 GB each month. HyperEdge includes 2,000 GB for substantially more growth room.
What do 185 MB/s I/O and 4,024 IOPS actually mean?
They are storage-performance limits, not your monthly bandwidth allowance. I/O in MB/s describes how quickly your account can move data to and from storage at a moment in time. IOPS describes how many storage read/write operations can occur each second. ProEdge separately includes 1,200 GB of monthly bandwidth.
Will 150 GB of current disk usage fit?
Yes across the published capacities: PowerEdge includes 200 GB, ProEdge 300 GB and HyperEdge 400 GB. At 150 GB used, that leaves roughly 50 GB, 150 GB and 250 GB of raw capacity respectively. If much of the old-server usage is redundant local backup archives, the actual live website footprint may be significantly smaller after migration.
Can I host several WordPress sites plus Laravel and Next.js?
WordPress and normal PHP/Laravel workloads are a natural fit for the cPanel environment. Node.js support is included. For Next.js, the important question is deployment architecture: if the project requires a persistent custom PM2 daemon, Docker, root packages or other VPS-style services, have Sales review the app before ordering. If it fits the supported account-level Node.js environment, semi-dedicated can be a strong option.
Do I get Docker or root access?
No. Semi-dedicated hosting is intentionally managed and does not include root access or a Docker/container-engine environment. Choose VPS/VDS or dedicated hosting when those capabilities are required.
Do I get dedicated IPs?
Multiple dedicated IPs are not advertised as included with these plans. If your existing service depends on dedicated IPs, especially several of them, contact Sales before migration so the requirement can be reviewed separately.
Why would I move from a VPS if the VPS has bigger numbers?
Because the larger VPS may also make you responsible for more of the server stack. Semi-dedicated includes cPanel, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux isolation, CageFS, Imunify360 and daily backup tooling in a managed environment. If you do not use root, Docker or other VPS-only capabilities, paying for unused server control and capacity may not be the best value.
What security is included?
The platform includes CloudLinux resource isolation, CageFS account isolation and Imunify360 security tooling, alongside the server-level protections Fusion Arc Hosting manages around the hosting environment.
Are backups included?
The published semi-dedicated specifications include daily automated backups and JetBackup tooling. This can reduce the need to keep large redundant local backup archives on the hosting account, although independent copies of critical data are still a sensible part of a complete backup strategy.
Can you migrate my websites from another host or VPS?
Yes. Migration assistance for eligible websites is included. The team can review the source environment and coordinate the transfer. For mixed stacks such as WordPress plus Laravel/Node.js, provide the application requirements up front so compatibility can be checked before the move.
Which billing terms are available?
Monthly, Semi-Annually, Yearly and Triennially are available. Each plan card lets you select the billing period before pressing Set Domain & Buy. Your standard selected term renews at the same standard rate as the first standard term, so there is no introductory-price increase at renewal.
Is there a free month?
Yes. Each plan card includes a separate first-month-free promotional order path. The free month is a one-time promotion; after it ends, the service continues at the normal standard rate for the billing term selected. That normal standard rate remains the same at renewal.
Do annual or longer terms include a free domain?
Current checkout options state that eligible .com and .net domain registration is available with Annual and Triennial product billing cycles. Final eligibility is shown before you complete the order.
Looking for more discounts or custom pricing?
Longer billing terms are already available directly from each plan card. If you are considering a larger deployment, longer-term commitment or have another pricing question,
contact Sales & Billing so the team can review the options available for your order.
What is the money-back period?
The published semi-dedicated plan information lists a 30-day money-back period. Eligibility is subject to Fusion Arc Hosting's current refund and payment policies.
