How many backup restore points are included?
Eligible managed cPanel hosting accounts receive up to
three rotating recent daily restore points. As newer
backups are successfully created, older recovery points
cycle out of the three-day window.
Are the included backups stored on the same server?
No. The standard disaster-recovery backups are sent to
offsite infrastructure so the recovery data is separated
from the production hosting server.
Can I restore one file from the included compressed backup?
The included compressed backup service is designed
primarily for complete cPanel account disaster recovery,
not convenient file-by-file restoration. If granular
recovery is important, ask Sales about our optional
JetBackup incremental backup service.
What happens during a full compressed backup restore?
The cPanel account is restored to the state represented
by the selected backup point. Because this is an
account-level recovery operation, data created or
modified after that backup point may be rolled back.
What does the incremental backup option add?
The incremental option provides much more precise
recovery. Depending on the enabled recovery scope,
customers can select specific directories or individual
files down to the filename from available restore points
instead of automatically restoring the entire account.
How much do incremental JetBackup backups cost?
Pricing varies based on the eligible fully managed
cPanel/WHM plan and its backup requirements. Submit a
Sales ticket and we can provide pricing for the specific
hosting environment.
Are backups useful for WordPress websites?
Very much so. Backups can help recover from failed plugin
or theme updates, deleted files, accidental code changes,
damaged uploads and other website problems. Incremental
recovery is particularly useful because a small mistake
does not necessarily require a complete cPanel rollback.
Does JetBackup replace Imunify360?
No. They serve different purposes. Imunify360 is part of
the active security layer protecting the live hosting
environment. JetBackup focuses on maintaining recovery
points. Security and recoverability complement each
other rather than replace each other.
Does restoring a backup guarantee malware is removed?
No. If malware existed when a backup was created, that
restore point may contain the same compromised data.
Security scanning and remediation may still be required
after restoration.
Can a hosting account be excluded from backups?
Yes. Accounts may be excluded when their storage usage
violates applicable Fusion Arc Hosting Terms of Service
or storage policies, or when technical conditions prevent
a successful backup from being completed.
Should I still maintain my own backups?
Yes, especially for business-critical or irreplaceable
data. Our backup system provides an additional recovery
layer, but independent customer-controlled backups are
recommended when data retention is important.
