Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Your Hosting Should Have a Recovery Plan Before It Needs One.

Fusion Arc Hosting builds multiple recovery paths into applicable fully managed cPanel and cPanel/WHM hosting .RAID 1 or RAID 10 protects the live storage layer, JetBackup maintains a latest successful hourly incremental recovery point ,and a previous-day compressed backup is stored offsite for broader disaster recovery.

Continuity Stack Multi-Layer Protection
01
RAID 1 / RAID 10 Live production storage redundancy
02
Latest Hour Recovery Incremental JetBackup recovery point
03
Previous-Day Offsite Copy Compressed full-cPanel disaster recovery
04
Healthy-Node Restoration Assisted recovery during prolonged outages

Extended Outage Protection Rapid Node Recovery

If One Server Is Down, Your cPanel Doesn't Always Have to Wait.

Some infrastructure repairs take longer than anyone would like.If the server holding a customer's cPanel account is experiencing a larger-than-normal outage window ,Fusion Arc Hosting can provide another recovery path instead of requiring the customer to simply wait for the original server to return.

At the customer's request, our team can open or work from a migration/recovery ticket and restore the customer's latest available hourly JetBackup recovery point onto another healthy Fusion Arc Hosting node.

That means the customer's cPanel environment can be brought back onto operating infrastructure while repair work continues on the affected server.

Typical target: around 30 minutes on average.

For many cPanel accounts, restoration to a healthy node can be completed in approximately 30 minutes on average.Actual restoration time depends heavily on the account's disk usage, file count, backup availability, server conditions and any DNS changes required. This is an operational average, not a guaranteed restoration SLA.

Extended Repair Window Original Hosting Node

Customer cPanel data normally runs here, but the server is undergoing a longer infrastructure repair.

Healthy Alternate Hosting Node

Latest available recovery data is restored onto healthy infrastructure so service can return without waiting for the original node.

~30
Minutes Average Restoration Time* Varies primarily with cPanel disk usage, file count and recovery conditions.
STEP 01

Customer Requests Recovery

The customer requests restoration through a migration or recovery ticket while the affected server is undergoing extended repair.

STEP 02

We Validate the Recovery Point

Our team checks the latest available hourly JetBackup recovery point and confirms suitable healthy infrastructure for the account.

STEP 03

Restore to a Healthy Node

The cPanel account is restored onto an available healthy managed hosting node rather than waiting solely on the original server repair.

STEP 04

Route & Verify

We work through any required IP, DNS or nameserver changes and assist in verifying the restored service.

Moving to another node can require DNS, IP or nameserver changes.

A healthy replacement node may use a different server IP address or nameserver assignment.Depending on the domain's configuration, DNS records or authoritative nameservers may therefore need to be updated. Our team assists throughout this process and helps identify the changes required.DNS propagation itself can still depend on third-party resolver caches outside Fusion Arc Hosting's direct control.

Why this matters for business continuity.

Traditional disaster recovery often means waiting until the original infrastructure is repaired and then beginning restoration. Our managed cPanel architecture gives us another option: recover the customer from a recent backup onto healthy infrastructure while the original incident continues to be repaired. That gives customers a practical path back online instead of tying recovery entirely to one physical server.

Important: VPS and Virtual Dedicated Server services are different.

Rapid managed cPanel recovery, the included hourly incremental recovery point and the included previous-day compressed backup described on this page are not included by default with VPS or Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) services .VPS/VDS customers must have purchased an applicable backup or recovery add-on for those services to have comparable backup-based restoration options available.

More Than Backups

Business Continuity Starts Before the Incident.

A serious recovery strategy should not depend on a single disk, a single server state or one type of backup.

A failed drive is different from a deleted WordPress file.A broken plugin is different from an unavailable server. And an account that needs a full rollback is different from one that only needs one recent directory restored.

Fusion Arc Hosting therefore combines infrastructure redundancy, active security, recent incremental recovery, offsite disaster recovery and assisted restoration into the managed hosting platform.

Web Hosting WordPress Hosting CMS Hosting Reseller Hosting Agency Hosting Managed cPanel / WHM
Hardware resilience RAID 1 or RAID 10 reduces dependence on an individual physical storage device.
Rapid recent repair The latest successful hourly incremental point gives us a recent recovery state for cPanel repair.
Previous-day disaster recovery A separate compressed offsite copy provides a broader full-account recovery path.
Infrastructure mobility During a prolonged incident, managed cPanel data can be restored onto another healthy node when appropriate.
Multiple Protection Layers

Different Failure Modes. Different Defenses.

There is no magic checkbox labeled "never lose anything."So we use several technologies, each designed to protect a different part of the hosting environment.

Layer 01

RAID 1 or RAID 10

Managed hosting servers use RAID 1 or RAID 10 according to the storage architecture of the individual server.

RAID maintains redundant live data across multiple physical storage devices.

Purpose: reduce risk from certain drive failures.
Layer 02

Imunify360 Security

Malware scanning, WebShield, Web Application Firewall protection and other controls work to protect the active hosting environment.

Purpose: help prevent the incident first.
Layer 03

Latest-Hour Incremental Recovery

JetBackup processes incremental backup data on an hourly schedule.

Under the included model, the latest successful hourly recovery point is retained for rapid recent restoration.

Purpose: rapid cPanel repair.
Layer 04

Previous-Day Offsite Recovery

A compressed cPanel backup representing the previous day is stored at offsite backup infrastructure.

This creates a broader disaster-recovery route if the complete account needs to be returned to an earlier state.

Purpose: full-account disaster recovery.
RAID is redundancy. RAID is not a backup.

RAID protects live storage from certain hardware failures, but it does not preserve historical versions of customer data.If a file is deleted or overwritten, RAID faithfully preserves that deletion or overwrite across the storage set.JetBackup is what gives us an earlier recovery state.

Included Managed Hosting Recovery

Two Included Recovery States. Two Very Different Jobs.

Applicable fully managed cPanel and cPanel/WHM services include both a recent incremental recovery point and a separate previous-day compressed disaster-recovery copy.

Included • Disaster Recovery

Previous-Day Compressed Offsite Backup

Eligible managed accounts also maintain a compressed backup representing the previous day's cPanel state at offsite backup infrastructure.

This recovery path is primarily designed for broader disaster recovery rather than one-file restoration.

  • Included on applicable managed cPanel plans
  • Previous-day account recovery state
  • Stored at offsite backup infrastructure
  • Designed primarily for complete cPanel recovery
  • Provides separation from the production node
  • Useful for major account or infrastructure events
  • Not the ideal method for restoring one specific file
  • A full restore can roll the complete account back to the previous-day state
The broader disaster-recovery copy.

This is the fallback when the recovery event is larger than the latest incremental repair point can reasonably address.

Optional Extended Recovery History

Extend Incremental Retention Up to Five Days.

Some businesses need more recovery history than the included latest-hour point and previous-day compressed copy.

Applicable fully managed cPanel and cPanel/WHM plans can add an optional rolling five-day incremental JetBackup retention window ,including the current day.

This gives active WordPress websites, businesses, developers and agencies additional historical points from which individual files or folders can be recovered.

  • Up to five days of incremental retention
  • Current day included in the rolling window
  • Granular file and folder recovery
  • More historical recovery options
  • Particularly useful for frequently changing websites
  • Optional plan-specific add-on
  • Pricing varies by plan and backup requirements
Current Day Most recent incremental recovery data
Day 2 Earlier incremental recovery history
Day 3 Additional retained recovery state
Day 4 Extended incremental history
Day 5 Oldest point in optional window
Five-day retention is optional.

The standard included service remains the latest successful hourly incremental recovery point plus the previous-day compressed offsite disaster-recovery backup.

Rapid Recovery in Practice

Continuity Is About More Than Catastrophic Failures.

Most restore requests begin with something considerably less cinematic than a datacenter exploding. The recovery architecture is useful for everyday website problems too.

WordPress Plugin Failure

A plugin update causes a fatal error.Recent incremental recovery may provide a cleaner repair path than rolling the complete account back.

Deleted File or Folder

A configuration file, upload or application directory is accidentally removed. The retained incremental point may provide granular recovery.

Failed Deployment

A recent code deployment breaks production.Recent recovery data can provide another path back to the working state.

Major Account Corruption

When damage extends across the account, the previous-day compressed offsite backup provides a broader cPanel recovery option.

Extended Server Outage

Rather than tying recovery exclusively to the original node, the latest available backup can be restored to healthy managed infrastructure at the customer's request.

Malware Recovery

Imunify360 helps protect the live environment while JetBackup supplies historical recovery data when returning files to an earlier state is appropriate.

A backup is not automatically a clean backup.

If malicious code existed when a restore point was created, that backup can contain the same compromised files.Restored sites may still require malware scanning, credential changes, software updates or additional remediation.

Compare Recovery Coverage

Included Continuity vs. Extended Backup History.

The included architecture emphasizes immediate recovery and previous-day disaster protection. The optional service expands historical incremental retention.

Capability Included Managed Hosting Optional 5-Day Incremental

Where This Protection Applies

Managed cPanel Hosting and Self-Managed Server Products Are Different.

The business-continuity features described on this page are part of applicable fully managed cPanel hosting environments.VPS and VDS products have a different default backup scope.

Applicable Managed Hosting

Fully Managed cPanel / WHM

Applicable Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, CMS Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Agency Hosting and other qualifying fully managed cPanel/cPanel-WHM services include the standard recovery model described on this page.

  • RAID-backed production infrastructure
  • Latest successful hourly incremental point
  • Previous-day compressed offsite backup
  • Assisted healthy-node recovery when applicable
VPS / VDS

Backup Add-On Required

VPS and Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) services do not include this managed JetBackup continuity model by default .

Comparable backup retention or recovery capabilities require an applicable backup/recovery add-on to have been purchased and configured for the VPS or VDS.

  • Not included by default
  • Backup options may be available separately
  • Availability depends on purchased service/add-on
Prevention + Recovery

The Best Restore Is Still the One You Never Need.

Business continuity begins with resilient infrastructure and active protection, then adds recovery for the moments when prevention is not enough.

RAID Storage

Provides live storage redundancy and reduces dependence on an individual physical drive.

Imunify360

Provides active hosting security intended to detect, block and remediate malicious activity.

JetBackup

Supplies recent incremental recovery plus a separate previous-day offsite disaster-recovery path.

Human Recovery Assistance

During significant incidents, our team helps coordinate restoration, routing changes and service verification.

Important Recovery Policy

Recovery Depends on Successful Backup Completion.

Backup systems are another layer of resilience, not a reason to invent guarantees the storage gods never approved.

Backup Availability

A restore point can only be available when the corresponding backup operation successfully completes.

  • Restore points depend on successful backup processing
  • Technical failures may prevent a scheduled point from being created
  • The latest successful recovery time can differ from the scheduled time when a job fails
  • Restore duration varies with account size, file count and infrastructure conditions
  • Healthy-node restoration is performed on request, not as automatic failover

Storage Abuse & Terms of Service

Managed hosting storage is intended for legitimate hosted website, email and related service data.

  • Accounts abusing storage against applicable Terms of Service may be excluded from backup processing
  • Hosting accounts are not unrestricted archive repositories
  • Excessive or prohibited storage can interfere with normal backup processing
  • Backup eligibility may return after the underlying issue is resolved
Maintain independent copies of truly irreplaceable data.

Fusion Arc Hosting's RAID, JetBackup and disaster-recovery systems provide substantial additional protection.Customers with regulatory requirements, permanent archives, long-term retention requirements or irreplaceable data should also maintain independent backups under their own control.

Business Continuity FAQ

Backup, Outage & Disaster Recovery Questions.

The useful questions to answer before a production incident decides to make everyone's afternoon interesting.

What backup protection is included by default?

Applicable fully managed cPanel and cPanel/WHM services include the latest successful hourly incremental JetBackup recovery point and a compressed offsite backup representing the previous day's cPanel state.RAID 1 or RAID 10 also protects the live production storage layer.

Do you keep every hourly backup?

No.Under the standard included service, JetBackup processes incremental backup data hourly but retains the latest successful hourly recovery point rather than a multi-day history of every hourly backup.

What happens if my hosting server has a prolonged outage?

If a managed hosting node is experiencing a larger-than-normal repair window, a customer can request recovery through a migration or recovery ticket. When appropriate recovery data and healthy capacity are available, Fusion Arc Hosting can restore the customer's latest available hourly cPanel recovery point onto another healthy managed hosting node.

How quickly can my cPanel be restored to another healthy node?

Many cPanel healthy-node restorations can be completed in approximately 30 minutes on average.Actual restoration time depends heavily on the cPanel account's disk usage, number of files, backup availability, infrastructure conditions and any routing changes required. The 30-minute figure is an operational average and is not a guaranteed recovery SLA.

Is healthy-node restoration automatic?

No.It is an assisted recovery option performed at the customer's request through a migration or recovery ticket when the original hosting node is experiencing an extended outage and recovery conditions make restoration to another node appropriate.

Will moving my cPanel to another server require DNS changes?

It can.The replacement node may have a different IP address or nameserver assignment.DNS records or authoritative nameservers may therefore need to change.Fusion Arc Hosting assists with identifying and implementing the required transition, while global DNS propagation remains dependent on third-party resolver caching.

Does your team help with the restoration and DNS changes?

Yes.Our support team works through the restoration with the customer, helps identify required IP, DNS or nameserver changes and assists in verifying the recovered hosting environment.

What is the previous-day compressed backup for?

The previous-day compressed backup is primarily a full-cPanel disaster-recovery copy.It provides a broader restoration option when returning the complete account to the previous day's state is more appropriate than repairing individual data from the latest incremental point.

Is the previous-day backup stored offsite?

Yes.The compressed disaster-recovery backup is maintained using offsite backup infrastructure separate from the production hosting node.

What does the optional five-day backup add-on provide?

The optional service extends incremental JetBackup retention to a rolling window of up to five days, including the current day. This provides additional historical granular recovery points beyond the standard latest-hour recovery state.

Is this backup and healthy-node recovery included with VPS or VDS plans?

No, not by default.VPS and Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) products do not automatically include the managed cPanel JetBackup protection and healthy-node recovery model described on this page.An applicable backup or recovery add-on must have been purchased and configured for comparable backup-based recovery capabilities to be available.

Is RAID the same thing as a backup?

No.RAID provides redundant live storage and helps protect against certain physical drive failures. It does not preserve historical file versions.JetBackup provides the historical recovery states.

Why is incremental recovery useful for WordPress?

WordPress changes frequently through plugins, themes, uploads and administrator activity.A recent incremental recovery point can allow affected files or folders to be restored without necessarily rolling the complete cPanel account back to the previous day.

Does restoring a backup guarantee malware is removed?

No.If malicious code was already present when a recovery point was created, the backup can contain the same compromised data.Security scanning, software updates, credential changes or additional remediation may still be necessary.

Can an account be excluded from backup processing?

Yes.Accounts may be excluded when storage usage violates applicable Fusion Arc Hosting Terms of Service or storage policies, or when technical conditions prevent successful backup processing.

Should I maintain my own backups too?

Yes, especially for irreplaceable, regulated or long-term archival data.Fusion Arc Hosting's systems provide additional continuity and recovery layers, but customers with specialized retention requirements should also maintain independent copies appropriate for those needs.
