We’re aware that some customers have recently had issues with SSL certificates not being issued or renewed automatically on certain domains.
This can affect both new domains and some older existing domains.
The good news is that Fusion Arc Hosting has not removed free SSL with no plans to remove it, and there is no new charge for standard AutoSSL on eligible hosting plans.
The issue comes from a recent cPanel change to how Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates are handled. Previously, eligible domains were generally included in AutoSSL automatically. With the newer cPanel workflow, some domains may now require the customer to review and accept the Let’s Encrypt terms and manually include the domain in AutoSSL.

What you should do
If you are having an SSL issue, or simply want to make sure your domains will continue renewing automatically:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Open SSL/TLS Certificates.
- Review and accept the Let’s Encrypt terms if prompted.
- Open SSL/TLS Status.
- Review your domains and subdomains.
- If you see “Include during AutoSSL”, select it for any domain you want AutoSSL to manage.
This is worth checking even for older domains. A certificate may still be valid today while the domain is excluded from future AutoSSL renewals.
Once a domain is included, AutoSSL will attempt to validate the domain and issue or renew the certificate. Your DNS must be configured correctly for validation to succeed.
We are reviewing the change
We preferred the previous system too.
Fusion Arc Hosting is currently reviewing whether we can restore the older automatic AutoSSL behavior across our cPanel infrastructure.
We do not yet know whether that will be possible, as there are technical, contractual, and legal requirements involving cPanel and Let’s Encrypt that we need to review first.
If we can safely and appropriately restore the previous behavior, we hope to do so. If not, we will continue working to make the current process as simple as possible.
Free SSL is still included
To be clear:
Standard AutoSSL remains included at no additional charge with eligible Fusion Arc Hosting plans.
This change does not mean you need to purchase a separate SSL certificate.
